Baseball: Gators Meet Familiar Foe in Playoff Elimination Game on Monday

Region, district, and cross-town rivals River Bluff and Lexington will meet yet again this year on the baseball diamond. This time, the contest is an elimination game in District Four of the AAAAA-Division I Playoffs. The Gators suffered their first loss of the postseason 3-0 at the hands of the number two seed Carolina Forest Panthers, while the Wildcats fell to Sumter 6-4 on Saturday, setting up Monday's matchup between these familiar foes.

Lexington got the better of River Bluff in the regular season, two games to one. Monday night's matchup will take place at Lexington High School at 6 p.m.
